Realme C53 With 108-Megapixel Rear Camera Debuts in India at This Price
Realme C53 has been launched in India today. The budget smartphone comes with a 108-megapixel primary rear camera, which is a segment first. It also offers a 90Hz display and up to 128GB of internal storage. The Realme C53 will be available in India starting July 26 on the Realme website, Flipkart, and other retail stores. 

Realme C53 has been launched in India today (July 19) as the latest entrant in the company’s affordable smartphone series. The new Realme C-series smartphone features a dual rear camera unit led by a 108-megapixel primary sensor. The Realme C53 has a water drop style notch display with 90Hz refresh rate. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The Realme C53 packs up to 6GB of RAM and a maximum of 128GB of internal storage. With Realme’s Dynamic RAM feature, the onboard memory can be expanded up to 12GB.

Realme C53 price in India, availability

Price of Realme C53 starts at Rs. 9,999 for the base 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The top-end model with 6GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 10,999. It comes in Champion Golden and Champion Black colour options and will go on sale starting 12:00pm IST on July 26 via Realme.com and Flipkart.

Realme is conducting an early bird sale of the today between 6:00pm to 8:00pm IST. Customers purchasing the Realme C53 using ICICI, SBI and HDFC credit cards can avail of a Rs. 500 discount.

Realme C53 specifications

The dual SIM (nano) Realme C53 runs on Android 13-based Realme UI T Edition and features a 6.74-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate, 90.3 percent screen-to-body ratio, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and 560 nits of brightness. It is powered by an unnamed octa-core 12nm chipset with 1.82GHz peak frequency, coupled with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and ARM Mali-G57 GPU. As mentioned, the available RAM can be virtually expanded up to 12GB. 

For optics, the Realme C53 features a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 108-megapixel AI-backed primary sensor. It is claimed to be the segment’s first handset to get a 108-megapixel sensor. For selfies, the smartphone flaunts an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It offers up to 128GB of onboard storage expandable via a microSD card (up to 2TB).

Connectivity options on the Realme C53 include 4G, GPS/AGPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, magnetic sensor, light sensor, gyro meter sensor and proximity sensor.

Realme has packed a 5,000mAh battery on the Realme C53 with 18W fast charging support. It measures 167.2×76.7×7.99mm and weighs about 186 grams.
